About 4BIZ

The aim of the project proposal is to develop a collaboration framework that will bring together blue economy stakeholders in EU and eligible non-EU Black Sea countries to identify and tackle local capacity building needs to boost innovation, digitalization and investment in the Black Sea blue economy with the main focus on fisheries and aquaculture, coastal and maritime tourism and maritime transport. 

The consortium of the project includes 9 project partners and 17 associated partners from Romania, Bulgaria, France, Greece, Turkey, Georgia and Ukraine and together with their stakeholders plan to develop a unique set of activities to support SMEs and start-ups specialized on Fisheries and aquaculture, coastal and maritime tourism and maritime transport that is covering all the signatory states of the CMA. The proposed workplan has been conceived in 5 work packages for a duration of 24 months. During the implementation of the project it shall be developed a comprehensive activity of mapping and gap analysis for the identification of required support services and to conceive dedicated support activities that will be validated by pilot activities and with the support of an existing digital platform for B2B and B2A collaborations.

4BIZ Specific Objectives

– Strengthening the capacity of SMEs and start-ups from the target sectors to identify and tap into potential public/private investors;

– Improving the visibility of investment opportunities in the target sectors from the Black Sea region and capacity of public/private investors to identify SMEs and start-ups;

– Develop stakeholder capacity to establish/enhance concrete cooperation and networking approaches and methods to improve the business environment and strengthen value chains;

– Contributing to the development of a networked, multi-stakeholder blue investment and innovation ecosystem in the Black Sea that will be called 4BIZ – Boosting Black Sea Blue Biz.
